Milestones

This week has a lot of milestones.
1 - My Goddaughter, Trystan, turns 5 tomorrow.  Here she is at a month old...

and here she is a couple weeks ago at her preschool graduation...
Isn't she beautiful in her "painted dots"?!  She has the typical red head attitude and her mom has already been asked about putting her in modeling.  The answer was "no".

2 - This week marks a year in my apartment.  I love it here in Colfax!  Very quiet and only 10 minutes to work.  I have the best land lords who are in their 80s and still do everything like they are in their 50s.  Mr. Westmoreland must be a pyro because he is constantly collecting stuff for his burn pile in the back yard.  You don't want to get Mrs. Westmoreland on this subject.
3 - Sunday will be Luna and I's 1 year anniversary.  He has definitely been a great companion.  This is a pic from the day I got him at only three weeks old...

He was abandoned and I had to bottle feed him and basically do "everything" for him other than play and walk.  At first he was thought to be a girl and all of a sudden things happened and I had to confine him to one room until I could get him fixed.  Here he is at 3 months old and much more independent...

and now...

He barely lets me out of his sight when I am home and is full of suprises.  He will randomly grab my leg from behind but never uses his claws.  I have started calling these moments "hugs".  Sometimes I wake up with him on my bed and watching me.  He chases a tennis ball but his favorite toy of all is his bear.  I call it pookie, like Garfield's bear, and he carries it around all over the apartment.  He gets really spastic sometimes.  I think he might be pentacostal because he gets really excited when my small group girls are over for Bible study, especially during prayer.  I think he likes visitors just as much as I do.  He loves to sniff of my friends hair.  If he could talk, he would probably ask them out.  The guys who aren't into cats have told me that he is a really cool cat and they don't mind him.  The beauty of American Bobtails is they are a lot like dogs in personality.  I have read that they are usually big cats and don't stop growing until around 2 years old.
